However, note that direct login isn't possible through the app. After downloading, you'll need to configure it on your device. It generates codes specifically for the login process. During its setup, you'll be required to accept the Terms of Use, enable SMS verification as an alternative login method, and automatically link your myGov account settings within the app.

After configuring the app on your device, proceed to my.gov.au and log in to your myGov account using your credentials. Launch the app and input the provided 6-digit verification code. Be aware that losing the app or switching devices may disallow access; therefore, update your myGov account sign-in preferences for continued access.

If your device goes missing with the app installed, relax! You can still access your myGov account through your sign-in recovery method. However, you'll need to update your login settings for myGov. If you haven't set up a backup, regrettably, you may lose access to your account.
