Hello! Live Transcribe & Sound Notifications is an awesome Android app designed to make conversations and sounds more accessible for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. One of its great features is the ability to transcribe speech in real-time in over 80 different languages and dialects. You can also personalize the app by adding your own words to its vocabulary and setting it to vibrate when your name is mentioned. Additionally, if you prefer typing, you can type out responses during a conversation. The app also provides information on the speaker's voice volume compared to background noise. For improved audio quality, you have the option to connect an external microphone. Pretty cool, right?

In addition to transcribing, the app also includes a feature called Sound Notifications. This feature alerts you when there are suspicious or personal activities happening at home, such as a smoke alarm going off or a baby crying. You can even customize the alerts to include sounds for things like appliances beeping. You have the option to receive notifications through flashing lights or vibrations on your phone or wearable device. If you want to review past events, simply use the Timeline view.

This amazing application is compatible with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and newer versions, and was developed in collaboration with Gallaudet University, a renowned institution for individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing in the United States.

The application requires access to your microphone in order to transcribe conversations and detect nearby sounds. However, rest assured that it does not store any audio recordings once the transcription is complete. As an accessibility feature, the app is able to monitor your activities.
