TicketQR is a convenient app that allows users to access trains and buses without the need for cash. It is part of the Ueda City Public Transportation Cashless Promotion Project, which started on October 1, 2020. The cashless experiment in Ueda City has been successful so far. TicketQR can be used on major routes operated by Ueda Bus Company, Ueda Electric Railway Company (Bessho Line), Chikuma Bus Company, and Toshin Kanko Bus Company. The experiment is scheduled to end on March 31, 2022, but starting in April 2022, the system will be introduced to the 'Town Sneaker' bus in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. This will provide even more convenience for local residents and tourists.

QR codes can be used for payments with PayPay, d payment, credit cards, and more. They are not only for immediate payments but also work for pre-payment methods such as commuter passes, prepaid tickets, and discounts for students and people with disabilities. If you do not have the app, you can still use QR codes printed on paper. The system was utilized for the Ueda City Consumption Promotion Support Project [Phase 3], known as 'Ganbaro Ueda! Up to 20% Discount Campaign' (ended on March 6, 2022). Approximately 60,000 individuals utilized it and received discount tickets totaling 10,000 yen. They were able to enjoy discounts of up to 20% at over 840 stores in Ueda City.

Simply provide your phone number for verification and birthdate to set up the fare when signing up for the app. After registering, you can immediately start using it. To use the app, scan the QR code at the pickup or drop-off location. When finished, pay your fare through the app's payment screen. It's as easy as that!

Once you exit, simply go to the payment screen on the app for electronic payments. You have the option to pay using various methods such as credit cards and different electronic payment apps. Make sure to have the app open on your phone beforehand. We accept a variety of brands including 'PayPay,' 'd payment,' 'au Pay,' 'Merpay,' 'LINE Pay,' 'WeChat Pay,' 'Google Pay,' and 'Apple Pay.' If you have a commuter pass, prepaid ticket, or any other ticket from the transportation company, feel free to use it as well. The payment will be processed automatically, so there is no need for any additional steps. Please note that the available ticket types may vary depending on the transportation company. The application allows you to view your usage history, including the times and locations of use, the cost, and the payment method. It also provides information on when your commuter pass expires, the number of remaining prepaid tickets, and your prepaid balance. If you change devices or phone numbers, there is no need to worry! You can effortlessly transfer all your information by obtaining a transfer key in advance.
