You do not have to configure anything or connect to WiFi for the IR control feature. Simply ensure that your phone's IR blaster is pointed directly at the TV, within a range of 4-10ft. The application has been successfully used on Samsung Galaxy phones running Android 4.4 or higher, and it is also compatible with some older Samsung devices running Android 4.1 - 4.2.2. Please note that the IR blaster may not function on certain phones when they are in power saving mode or have low battery.

In order to utilize the network IP control feature, ensure that your Sony TV is turned on and that both your TV and mobile device are connected to the same local network. To pair a Bravia TV, access the TV's settings and enable 'Remote Device' or 'Renderer'. If the TV is not detected, you can manually enter its IP address. This app is compatible with various Sony TV models manufactured from 2011 to 2016, but unfortunately does not work with 2017 models.
